A Safe Haven for Men Seeking Stability and Hope

Since autumn 2011, The Gathering Place has been a refuge for men in need of safe, dry shelter. What began with just 10 residents has grown into a thriving community where more than 23 men now call our shelter home. 

In February 2024, we expanded our mission by opening an additional shelter designed to be ADA-compliant, ensuring accessibility for individuals who use assistive devices for mobility. This new space reflects our commitment to inclusivity and support for all who need us.

A Path to Self-Sufficiency

At The Gathering Place, we offer more than just shelter - we provide hope, stability, and a supportive environment where residents can rebuild their lives. Every man who stays with us is welcomed into our self-sufficiency program, with no time limit on their stay. Here, they can focus on their personal growth, work toward their goals, and prepare for their "forever home."

A Community of Support

We offer a safe, positive, and peaceful atmosphere where men can heal and thrive. Our community is drug and alcohol-free, but we extend a warm welcome to those seeking assistance with substance use recovery. Together, we work hand in hand with residents, fighting just as hard for their success as they do for themselves.
