On Friday, April 11, we were honored and deeply moved to stand alongside our community for the groundbreaking of Hope House–a home being built with love, compassion, and purpose. This isn't just a construction project. It's a symbol of what's possible when people come together to invest in hope, healing, and brighter tomorrows.
Thanks to the generosity of Dalamar Homes, the net proceeds from the sale of Hope House will directly benefit local nonprofits, including The Gathering Place Mission, AMEN House, Rewriting Stories HOPE for Single Parents, and Shepherds House Inc. That means every nail, board, and beam of this home will help rebuild lives–starting with the most vulnerable in our community.
As an organization that provides shelter, support, and second chances, we know that hope often begins with a safe place to rest and someone who believes in you. That’s what Hope House is all about: showing what we can achieve when we turn compassion into action.
We are incredibly grateful to Dalamar Homes, the Georgetown Chamber, and everyone who showed up at 116 Falls Creek Drive to share in this beautiful moment. With full hearts (and full plates, thanks to the amazing food!), we celebrated a groundbreaking that will serve as the start of something transformative for Scott County.
To everyone who supports this mission: thank you! You are building more than homes–you are building hope.
