More Than Shelter—Providing Stability, Support, and a Fresh Start for Those in Need

​The Gathering Place Mission in Georgetown, Kentucky, is excited to announce the expansion of our services to better support our community members experiencing homelessness. This development is a significant step toward addressing the increasing needs within our community.​


Expanded Services to Meet Growing Needs

Recognizing the evolving challenges faced by our residents, we have broadened our offerings beyond emergency shelter. Our expanded services now include:​

  • Transitional Housing: Providing a stable environment for individuals and families as they work toward permanent housing solutions.​
  • Comprehensive Support Programs: Offering case management, job training, and mental health services to empower residents on their journey to self-sufficiency.​


Community Collaboration and Support

This expansion has been made possible through the unwavering support of local organizations, volunteers, and donors. Their dedication and generosity have been instrumental in enhancing our capacity to serve those in need.​

On February 22, our community came together for the Coldest Night of the Year walk, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible support! Despite the chilly weather, dozens of participants joined us to raise awareness and funds for those experiencing homelessness in Georgetown, Kentucky.  A special thank you goes out to the Loyal Ladies Group, whose dedication and fundraising efforts made a tremendous impact! Their generosity and commitment to our mission helped ensure The Gathering Place can continue providing shelter, support, and hope to those in need. From all of us at The Gathering Place—thank you! Your kindness reminds us that, together, we can bring warmth and hope to our community, no matter how cold the night may be.
